Upcoming Fixtures For The U21s

The future is bright at Hyde United…

The first three games of the U21s season have given us one of each result with a win, a draw and a loss.

A mixed bag then, but we either win or we learn, and one area where we’re always winning is with our development of homegrown talent.

The newly formed Under 21s team has already seen 3 of the squad break through to the 1st team, making their debuts and signing forms.

Henry Carne, who came through our junior system is one of these players, and he is joined by Bradley Page and James Thewlis.

We are beyond proud of these lads, proving just how beneficial having a brilliant grassroots set up can be, not just for the individual players, but for the club as a whole.

Our junior section is only 4 years old, and
when you consider what we have had to deal with for 18 months of that time period, the progress has been staggering.

3 Under 21s lads now regularly featuring in gaffer Jim Gannon’s match day squads, with plenty more knocking on the door, both in the 21s and further down our junior section.
