Practice Match Tomorrow Against Glossop NE

Following the League’s further statement on Tuesday (15th) regarding the option of a return to fixtures, our match at Bamber Bridge that was originally listed as Saturday 19th December will NOT go ahead for a number of reasons. This Club and many others have now raised concerns to the NPL Board and we await a further response.

In the meantime, the First Team will now play a practice match friendly at the Ewen Fields Stadium v Glossop North End with a 2.15pm kick off. The two recent academy signings, Carter Walters and Cameron Fogerty, will be part of the team tomorrow, as will loan signing from Huddersfield, Josh Austerfield. There will also be another new additional, which we can’t announce at the moment as paperwork is still going through. The new addition is a centre forward and a proven goalscorer at this level.

The FA has recently received approval from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) for a limited return of home spectators to be permitted at clubs competing in the National League System (NLS) Steps 3 to 6 situated in Tier 3 areas. This is limited to 15% of minimum capacity guidelines for the Step playing (Step 3 equivalent restricted to 300).

We are not making a formal charge for admittance, but we would please ask you to make a  donation on entry, which would be an enormous financial help to the Club,

All those attending will be counted in and must register via the QR posters or leave name & contact number for track and trace purposes. Per the guidance, that existing social distancing rules are followed by all those present.

The Social Club has to remain closed per the Government Tier 3 instructions.
